Footprints and Paths

I have always loved the poem entitled "Footprints".  I have had many times throughout my life when I have felt carried through my trials, or at least as if there were footprints in the sand for me to follow.  I have also loved the perfection of the tiny newborn feet of my children.  When I think of all that will be accomplished by that little soul as they grow and develop into a personality of their own, I am truly humbled to be a part of the process.

As my list of daily challenges has continued to grow over the past few years, I have come to realize that every small thought, feeling, or comment leaves a footprint of it's own. I have been the recipient of many footprints on a daily basis.  Once they pass over my heart, it affects my soul and I am never the same afterwards.  I am truly grateful to have been so richly blessed with the knowledge that my feet were created in the image of He who rules the universe.  I am meant to follow a path that is designed to lead to happiness.  Sometimes the path doesn't look appealing, but I know that if I trust the footprints of Him who constructed and then navigated the path, I will not regret it.

I hope to share with you the journey of my paths.  From my daily walk, to my long hikes through the wilderness, I hope that you can see the footprints on my soul as I discover them for myself.  Maybe they will help you uncover part of the path that is laid out for you. I tend to view all things as spiritual because I believe that everything affects our soul.  I hope that you will enjoy walking with me as I ponder the effects of all the footprints on my soul.

*Incidentally, the little feet pictured above are feet that have changed my life dramatically over the past year as the world of autism has been opened up to me.  But, that is another post.
